Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the cheese is evenly coated.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
  4. Form the Bites:
    • Take small spoonfuls of the dough and roll them into balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Roll each ball in the breadcrumbs to coat them evenly.
  5. Bake:
    • Place the coated cheese balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites hot, with marinara sauce for dipping.
