Here’s an easy and delicious 5-Ingredient Apple Dumplings recipe that’s perfect for a quick dessert!

Ingredients:

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, and sliced into 8 wedges)
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough (store-bought)
  • 1 cup sugar (granulated or brown sugar)
  • 1 stick (½ cup) butter (melted)
  • 1 can (12 oz) Mountain Dew (or other lemon-lime soda)

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Prepare the Dumplings

  1. Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  2. Place one apple wedge at the wide end of each triangle of dough and roll it up. Make sure the apple is fully enclosed.

Step 3: Arrange in the Dish

  1. Place the rolled apple dumplings in the prepared baking dish.

Step 4: Make the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the sugar until combined.
  2. Pour the sugar-butter mixture evenly over the apple dumplings.

Step 5: Add Soda and Bake

  1. Pour the Mountain Dew around the edges of the dumplings in the baking dish, avoiding pouring directly on top of the dough.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and bubbly.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Let the dumplings cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce if desired!
