A Baked Bacon, Egg, and Cheese dish is a super easy and satisfying way to enjoy a classic breakfast. This one can be made all at once in the oven, so it’s perfect if you’re serving a crowd or want to meal prep for the week. Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk or heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese you like, such as Swiss or American)
  • 6-8 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled or chopped
  • 1/2 cup diced onions or bell peppers (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the pan)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional – chives, parsley, or thyme work well)

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish (or any similar-sized dish) with butter or non-stick spray.

2. Prepare the bacon:

  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy. Drain it on a paper towel-lined plate, then chop or crumble it into pieces.

3. Make the egg mixture:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or heavy cream), garlic powder (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.

4. Assemble the dish:

  • Pour the egg mixture into the greased baking dish.
  • Add the crumbled bacon, shredded cheese, and any optional diced vegetables like onions or bell peppers. Stir everything gently to mix.

5. Bake:

  • Bake the casserole for about 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are fully set and the top is lightly golden.
  • You can check doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should come out clean.

6. Serve:

  • Let the dish cool for a few minutes before slicing into it.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve hot!

Tips:

  • If you want a little more flavor, you can add hot sauce or a drizzle of ranch dressing on top.
  • For a fun twist, you can make individual servings in muffin tins for easy portion control.

This is perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch. It’s easy to make ahead of time, and it’s so customizable with your favorite add-ins. Enjoy your Baked Bacon, Egg, and Cheese! Let me know how it turns out!
