Here’s a super easy and satisfying recipe for Homemade Crispy Chocolate Bars—a no-bake treat with a rich, chocolaty base and a delicious crunch from crispy rice cereal. Perfect for kids, parties, or whenever you’re craving a nostalgic sweet snack!


🍫 Homemade Crispy Chocolate Bars

🍽️ Yields: 12–16 squares

⏱️ Time: 10 mins prep · 1 hour chill


🧾 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)

  • ½ cup peanut butter (creamy works best, or use almond/sunflower butter for variation)

  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal (like Rice Krispies)

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra smoothness)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: ½ tsp vanilla extract


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or foil for easy removal.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl (or using a double boiler), melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in 30-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth.

  3. Stir in vanilla extract and salt (if using).

  4. Gently fold in the crispy rice cereal until fully coated.

  5. Press mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to flatten the top.

  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until firm.

  7. Slice into bars or squares. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week (or freeze for longer!).

  • Use white chocolate or dark chocolate for a twist.
