Liver Cheese Chips

Posted on June 10, 2025
Here’s a simple, protein-packed snack idea for Liver Cheese Chips — a low-carb, savory treat that’s especially popular in keto and carnivore circles. It’s made by slicing and baking liver cheese (also called Leberkäse, a type of German-style meatloaf) until crispy like chips.

🐷 Liver Cheese Chips

🕒 Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 20–25 min | Serves: 2–4

Ingredients:

  • 6–8 slices of liver cheese (Leberkäse) – about ⅛ inch thick

  • Optional: Black pepper, garlic powder, or smoked paprika

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  2. Slice liver cheese:
If it’s a block, slice it thin (about ⅛ inch or thinner) into chip-size pieces. If pre-sliced, you’re good to go.

  3. Arrange on baking sheet:
Place slices in a single layer with a bit of space between them.

  4. Bake:
Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Watch closely — they should be golden brown and crisp on the edges. You want a chip-like texture.

  5. Cool:
Let them cool on a wire rack — they’ll crisp up more as they cool.

  6. Optional seasoning:
Sprinkle with seasonings immediately after baking, if desired.

✅ Tips:

  • Air Fryer Method: Air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping once.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 day or in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • Best eaten fresh for the ultimate crunch!

Would you like a dipping sauce idea to go with them (like spicy mustard or a creamy keto dip)?
