Here’s a simple and delicious Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich recipe—perfect for when you’re craving something cheesy, crispy, and full of pizza flavor!


🍕 Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

🧄 Ingredients (Makes 2 sandwiches):

  • 4 slices of bread (sourdough or white bread works well)

  • 4 tbsp butter (softened)

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar (optional for extra flavor)

  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)

  • 8 slices of pepperoni (or any other toppings: mushrooms, olives, etc.)

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Optional: Grated Parmesan cheese


🔥 Directions:

  1. Prep the Bread:

    • Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.

    • Optional: Sprinkle a bit of Parmesan onto the buttered side for a crispy, cheesy crust.

  2. Assemble the Sandwiches:

    • Place two slices, butter-side-down, on a skillet or griddle.

    • Spread a tablespoon (or more) of pizza sauce on the unbuttered side.

    • Layer on shredded mozzarella (and cheddar, if using), pepperoni, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.

    • Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing up.

  3. Grill It:

    • Heat the skillet over medium heat.

    • Cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  4. Serve:

    • Let cool slightly, slice in half, and serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

  • Add-ons: Try adding cooked sausage, sautéed onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms.

  • Cheese: Swap mozzarella for provolone or add a sprinkle of feta for tang.

  • Garlic Butter: Mix minced garlic into your butter for extra flavor.
