🦐🦀 Shrimp & Crab Alfredo Bake

A creamy seafood pasta bake featuring tender shrimp, sweet crab, and a homemade Alfredo sauce topped with melty cheese and baked to perfection.

📝 Ingredients

Seafood & Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 1/2 lb lump crab meat (real or high-quality imitation)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1/4 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional, for extra seafood flavor)

Homemade Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

For the Bake:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan (for topping)

  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Cook Pasta:

    • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. Cook Shrimp:

    • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and Old Bay (if using). Sauté 2–3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked. Set aside.

  4. Make Alfredo Sauce:

    • In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute.

    • Pour in cream, reduce heat to medium, and simmer 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    • Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella until melted and smooth. Add nutmeg if desired. Taste and adjust seasoning.

  5. Combine Everything:

    • In a large bowl or the pot, mix cooked pasta, shrimp, crab, and Alfredo sauce until well coated.

  6. Assemble the Bake:

    • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

    • Sprinkle the top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan.

  7. Bake:

    • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

  8. Garnish & Serve:

    • Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

🍽️ Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve with garlic bread or a green salad with lemon vinaigrette.

  • Pairs nicely with a crisp white wine like Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc.
