Moose Farts Recipe

Posted on September 11, 2025

Ah yes — Moose Farts! Despite the hilarious name, these no-bake Canadian treats are absolutely delicious. They’re bite-sized, sweet, chewy, and perfect for the holidays, potlucks, or just when you want something fun and easy.

🦌💨 Moose Farts (No-Bake Coconut Treats)

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  • 2 cups shredded sweetened coconut

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Mix It All Up

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine:

    • Sweetened condensed milk

    • Graham crumbs

    • Coconut

    • Mini chocolate chips

    • Butter

    • Vanilla and salt

  • Stir until well combined — the mixture will be thick and sticky.

2. Chill the Mixture

  • Cover and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes to firm up for easier rolling.

3. Roll Into Balls

  • Use your hands to roll into 1-inch balls.

  • Optional: Roll in extra coconut, sprinkles, or powdered sugar for extra flair.

4. Store & Serve

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Best served chilled — they firm up nicely and get that chewy texture.

🔁 Optional Add-ins or Swaps:

  • Swap mini chocolate chips for Skor bits or chopped nuts.

  • Add a splash of maple syrup for extra Canadian flavor.

  • Make them boozy: Stir in a tablespoon of Baileys or Kahlúa.

🥳 Fun Fact:

These are often made around Christmas in Atlantic Canada, and the name “Moose Farts” is just part of the charm. Don’t let it fool you — they taste like coconut-chocolate heaven.
