𝗢𝗻𝗲-𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

Certainly! Here’s a recipe for a one-bowl chocolate cake with mocha buttercream frosting:For the Chocolate Cake:

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 cup milk (whole or buttermilk), at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup hot coffee (brewed), or hot water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.
  4. Stir in the hot coffee or hot water. The batter will be thin; this is normal.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Mocha Buttercream Frosting:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3-4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2-3 tablespoons brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, brewed coffee, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium-high speed until the frosting is smooth and fluffy. Adjust the consistency by adding more powdered sugar or coffee as needed.

Assembling the Cake:

  1. Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate or cake stand.
  2. Spread a layer of the mocha buttercream frosting over the top of the first cake layer.
  3. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining mocha buttercream frosting.
  4. Optionally, decorate the cake with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or additional decorations of your choice.

This one-bowl chocolate cake with mocha buttercream frosting is a delightful treat for chocolate and coffee lovers alike!
