Easy Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

Absolutely, cinnamon sugar pecans are a delightful and simple treat. Here’s an easy recipe for you:Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (about 4 cups) pecan halves
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Pecans:
    • In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg white and water until frothy.
  3. Coat with Egg White Mixture:
    • Add the pecan halves to the egg white mixture and toss them until they are evenly coated.
  4. Mix Cinnamon Sugar:
    • In a separate bowl, mix together the sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar:
    • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the coated pecans and toss until all the pecans are well coated with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  6. Bake:
    • Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake and Stir:
    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour, stirring the pecans every 15-20 minutes to ensure even coating and prevent sticking.
  8. Cool and Store:
    • Once the pecans are done baking and have a crispy coating, remove them from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet.
    • Once cooled, store the cinnamon sugar pecans in an airtight container or enjoy them right away as a delicious snack or as a topping for salads, desserts, or ice cream!
