Honey butter Old Bay shrimp is a delightful dish that combines the sweet richness of honey butter with the savory, spicy flavor of Old Bay seasoning. Here’s a simple recipe to make honey butter Old Bay shrimp:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the Old Bay seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the honey to the skillet and stir until it’s well combined with the butter and garlic.
  4. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and add them to the skillet. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Sprinkle the Old Bay seasoning mixture over the shrimp, tossing gently to coat each shrimp evenly.
  6. Cook the shrimp for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  7. Once the shrimp are cooked through and coated with the honey butter Old Bay sauce, remove the skillet from the heat.
  8. Serve the shrimp hot, garnished with chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the shrimp.

Enjoy your delicious honey butter Old Bay shrimp as an appetizer or as a main dish served over rice or pasta!
