Hamburger mushroom bake

Here’s a tasty recipe for Hamburger Mushroom Bake:Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cooked rice or pasta (optional)
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is softened.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, until they are tender and any liquid has evaporated.
  5. Stir in the dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet, mixing well to combine.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream until smooth.
  7. Add the soup mixture to the skillet with the beef and mushrooms, stirring until everything is well coated.
  8. If using rice or pasta, spread it evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  9. Pour the beef and mushroom mixture over the rice or pasta, spreading it out evenly.
  10. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef and mushroom mixture.
  11. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
  13. Remove the Hamburger Mushroom Bake from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
  14. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, before serving.
