Recipe for wonton cups with spinach

Here’s a recipe for delicious wonton cups filled with spinach:

Ingredients:

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: additional toppings such as diced tomatoes, chopped bell peppers, or cooked crumbled bacon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup, pressing down gently to form a cup shape. Make sure the corners of the wrappers are sticking up slightly.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  6. Spoon the spinach mixture into each wonton cup, filling them almost to the top.
  7. If desired, top each filled wonton cup with additional toppings such as diced tomatoes, chopped bell peppers, or cooked crumbled bacon.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the wonton wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove the wonton cups from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  10. Serve the spinach-filled wonton cups as a delicious appetizer or snack.
