Easy ham and cheese quiche recipe

Posted on March 27, 2024

Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for an easy ham and cheese quiche:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought), unbaked
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyere)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk or half-and-half
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  2. Spread the diced ham evenly over the bottom of the pie crust. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the ham.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or half-and-half, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the ham and cheese in the pie crust.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle chopped fresh herbs over the top of the quiche for added flavor.
  6. Place the quiche on a baking sheet (to catch any potential spills) and bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  8. Serve slices of the easy ham and cheese quiche warm or at room temperature.
  9. Enjoy your delicious and savory quiche as a satisfying breakfast, brunch, or lunch option!

This easy ham and cheese quiche is versatile and can be customized with your favorite ingredients, such as cooked vegetables, different types of cheese, or additional seasonings. It’s perfect for feeding a crowd or for meal prep, as leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated for a quick and tasty meal.
