Honey garlic salmon is a delicious and flavorful dish that combines the sweetness of honey with the savory notes of garlic and soy sauce. Here’s a simple recipe to make it:Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, skin-on or skinless, about 6 ounces each
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening the sauce)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Sear the salmon for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  4. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the honey garlic sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice until well combined. If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can mix in the cornstarch as well.
  5. Once the salmon is seared, pour the honey garlic sauce over the fillets, making sure to coat them evenly.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 8-10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the salmon rest for a few minutes.
  8. Garnish the honey garlic salmon with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired.
  9. Serve the salmon hot, either on its own or with your favorite side dishes, such as rice, quinoa, or steamed vegetables.
