Chicken Biscuit Bake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans), thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits (8 biscuits)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, thawed mixed vegetables, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Assemble the Dish:
    • Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. Top with Biscuits:
    • Open the can of refrigerated biscuits and place each biscuit on top of the chicken mixture in the baking dish, spacing them evenly.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, and the filling is bubbly.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Tips:

  • Variations: Feel free to add other seasonings or herbs to the filling for extra flavor, such as thyme or parsley.
  • Biscuit Options: If you prefer, you can use homemade biscuit dough instead of refrigerated biscuits. Just roll out the dough and place it on top of the filling.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
