Here’s a quick and delicious recipe for Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas. This easy meal combines seasoned chicken, bell peppers, and onions for a flavorful and healthy dish.

Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green), sliced into strips
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Tortillas, for serving
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, shredded cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Marinade:
    • In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Marinate the Chicken and Vegetables:
    • Add the sliced chicken, bell peppers, and onion to the bowl with the marinade. Toss until everything is well coated.
  4. Cook in the Air Fryer:
    • Place the marinated chicken and vegetables in the air fryer basket. Spread them out in an even layer for best results.
    • Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking. The chicken should be cooked through and the vegetables should be tender and slightly charred.
  5. Finish with Lime Juice:
    • Once the chicken and vegetables are done, remove them from the air fryer and squeeze fresh lime juice over the top. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the chicken and vegetables in warm tortillas. Add your favorite toppings such as sour cream, guacamole, salsa, chopped cilantro, or shredded cheese.

Tips:

  • Cutting the Chicken and Vegetables: For even cooking, make sure to slice the chicken and vegetables into similar-sized pieces.
  • Cooking in Batches: If your air fryer basket is small, cook the chicken and vegetables in batches to avoid overcrowding.
