bread with just 2 ingredients

Posted on March 27, 2025
You can make a super simple 2-Ingredient Bread using just self-rising flour and plain yogurt. It’s quick, easy, and requires minimal ingredients while still being delicious. Here’s the recipe:

2-Ingredient Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (preferably full-fat for a richer texture)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Dough:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and plain yogurt. Stir until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour, a tablespoon at a time, until it comes together.
  3. Shape the Dough:

    • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times until smooth. Shape it into a loaf that fits your prepared pan.
  4. Bake:

    • Place the dough into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool and Serve:

    • Let the bread cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy it warm with butter, jam, or any topping of your choice!

Notes:

  • Self-rising flour is key to making this bread rise without yeast. If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own by mixing 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour with 2 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  • This bread is soft and slightly dense but great for a quick snack or alongside soups and salads.

Enjoy your super easy 2-Ingredient Bread!
