Here’s a quick and delicious 5-Minute Breakfast idea: Avocado Toast with Egg. It’s nutritious, filling, and easy to make in no time!

Avocado Toast with Egg

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice whole grain or sourdough bread
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 egg (can be scrambled, fried, or poached)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, lemon juice, or herbs (like parsley or chives)

Instructions:

  1. Toast the Bread:
    • Start by toasting the bread in a toaster or on a pan until it’s crispy and golden brown.
  2. Prepare the Avocado:
    • While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash it with a fork and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra flavor.
  3. Cook the Egg:
    • In a small pan, heat a little oil or butter over medium heat. Crack the egg into the pan and cook it to your liking (fried, scrambled, or poached). For a fried egg, cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side for a soft yolk.
  4. Assemble:
    • Spread the mashed avocado onto the toasted bread, then top with the cooked egg.
  5. Serve:
    • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes or herbs. Enjoy immediately!

Variations:

  • Add Toppings: You can top the avocado toast with additional toppings like sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, or smoked salmon.
  • For Extra Protein: Add a few slices of turkey or chicken on top of the avocado toast.
