Posted on March 31, 2024
Brown sugar pineapple is a deliciously sweet and tangy dish that pairs well with a variety of meals, especially grilled or roasted meats. Here’s a simple recipe to make brown sugar pineapple:Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into slices or wedges
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (you can adjust the amount based on your sweetness preference)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Brush both sides of the pineapple slices or wedges with the brown sugar mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. Place the pineapple slices or wedges on the preheated grill or grill pan.
  5. Cook the pineapple for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the pineapple is caramelized and slightly softened.
  6. Once cooked, remove the grilled pineapple from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
  7. Garnish the brown sugar pineapple with fresh mint leaves, if desired, for a pop of color and added freshness.
  8. Serve the grilled pineapple slices or wedges hot as a delicious side dish or dessert.

Enjoy the sweet and caramelized flavor of the brown sugar pineapple as a tasty addition to your meal! It’s perfect for summer cookouts or any time you’re craving a tropical treat.
