Here’s a quick and easy 5-Minute Cake recipe that melts in your mouth! This microwave mug cake is rich, moist, and perfect for when you’re craving something sweet in a hurry.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder (for a chocolate version, optional)
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate chips, or berries

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Dry Ingredients

  1. In a microwave-safe mug or bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder (if making chocolate cake), baking powder, and salt.

Step 2: Add Wet Ingredients

  1. Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth and there are no lumps.

Step 3: Microwave

  1. Microwave the mug on high for 1 to 1 ½ minutes. Start with 1 minute and check the cake—if it’s firm to the touch, it’s ready; if not, microwave in additional 10-second intervals until done.

    (Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your microwave wattage.)

Step 4: Add Toppings and Serve

  1. Let the cake cool for a minute, then top with whipped cream, chocolate chips, or berries if desired.
  2. Enjoy your delicious melt-in-your-mouth 5-minute cake!

Tips:

  • For extra indulgence, mix a tablespoon of chocolate chips into the batter before microwaving.
