Posted on January 26, 2025
Cheese bread is an easy and incredibly delicious treat that’s perfect for snacking or serving alongside soups, salads, or pasta dishes. Here’s a simple recipe for cheesy, soft, and flavorful bread that will have everyone coming back for more:

Cheese Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix of both)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or olive oil)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or chives), chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using).
  3. Add the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter (or oil), and egg until fully combined.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  5. Fold in the cheese: Stir in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Bake the bread: Pour the dough into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese if you’d like an extra cheesy crust.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and serve: Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing. You can garnish with fresh herbs for an added pop of color and flavor.

This cheese bread is soft, cheesy, and perfect for any occasion. It’s great for breakfast with a little butter, as a snack, or served alongside your favorite dishes. You can also try mixing in other ingredients like cooked bacon, jalapeños, or sun-dried tomatoes for added variety!

Enjoy! Would you like any variations on the recipe?
