📝 Ingredients:
For the Taco Shells:

6 small flour tortillas (street taco size works great)
-
1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for pan-frying)
For the Filling:
-
1/2 lb ground beef
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/4 tsp black pepper
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
1/2 tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
-
1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
18–24 mini pepperoni slices (or regular sliced in half)
Optional Toppings:
-
Fresh basil or parsley
-
Extra pizza sauce for dipping
-
Grated Parmesan
-
Sliced olives or banana peppers
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Cook the Beef:
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
-
Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
-
Stir in 1/2 cup pizza sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened slightly. Set aside.
2. Assemble the Tacos:
-
Lay out the tortillas. Sprinkle a little mozzarella on one half of each tortilla.
-
Add a spoonful of the seasoned beef on top of the cheese.
-
Top with more mozzarella and 3–4 pepperoni slices.
-
Fold the tortilla in half to form a taco.
3. Crisp the Tacos:
-
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil or butter.
-
Cook the tacos 2–3 at a time, pressing gently with a spatula. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
-
Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate.
4. Serve:
-
Serve hot with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
-
Sprinkle with chopped herbs, Parmesan, or more pepperoni if you want to go all out.
🔥 Tips:
-
Add sautéed onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms for a supreme version.
-
Swap in spicy Italian sausage instead of beef for extra flavor.
-
Use store-bought pizza dough rounds or flatbread if you want a crunchier shell.
