Here’s a creamy, cheesy, and utterly addictive recipe for Crack Chicken Casserole—a comfort food favorite that lives up to its name! 🧀🍗🥓


😋 Crack Chicken Casserole

This dish combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, ranch seasoning, cream cheese, and gooey cheddar all baked together into a cozy, crowd-pleasing casserole. It’s called “crack chicken” because it’s so good, people find it hard to stop eating!


🧂 Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2 tbsp homemade)

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella (optional, for meltiness)

  • 1½ cups cooked pasta (e.g., elbow macaroni or rotini) – optional

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

  • Salt & pepper to taste


🥘 Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat to 350°F (175°C).

    • Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

  2. Make the Filling:

    • In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning until smooth.

    • Stir in shredded chicken, 1 cup cheddar cheese, mozzarella (if using), and cooked pasta if including.

    • Fold in half of the crumbled bacon.

  3. Assemble:

    • Spread the mixture evenly into the casserole dish.

    • Top with remaining ½ cup cheddar and remaining bacon.

  4. Bake:

    • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

    • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

  • Low-carb/Keto? Skip the pasta and serve over cauliflower rice or steamed veggies.
