Creamy Root Beer Float Pie

Posted on July 3, 2025

Here’s a fun and nostalgic dessert: 🍨 Creamy Root Beer Float Pie – it’s super easy to make, no baking required, and tastes just like a root beer float!

🥧 Creamy Root Beer Float Pie

Servings: 8
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 4+ hours or overnight
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1/2 cup cold root beer

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust

  • Optional toppings: maraschino cherries, extra whipped topping, root beer drizzle, crushed graham crackers

Instructions:

  1. Make the Filling:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the root beer, milk, and vanilla pudding mix until thickened (about 2 minutes).

    • Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined and fluffy.

  2. Fill the Crust:

    • Spoon the filling into the graham cracker crust and smooth the top with a spatula.

  3. Chill:

    • Cover the pie and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until fully set.

  4. Serve:

    • Top with extra whipped topping and a maraschino cherry for that classic root beer float vibe.

    • Optional: drizzle with a little root beer syrup or sprinkle crushed graham crackers for crunch.

📝 Tips:

  • Use diet root beer if you’d like a lower-sugar version.

  • Want a stronger root beer flavor? Add a few drops of root beer concentrate (available in baking aisles or online).

  • Make it in mini graham crusts for cute single servings!
