Posted on January 25, 2024

It seems like you’re looking for a recipe for chocolate chip scones. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole milk or buttermilk)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter pieces to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the flour-butter mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.
  8. Pat the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick. Cut the circle into 8 wedges.
  9. Place the wedges on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the scones are golden brown.
  11. Allow the scones to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

These chocolate chip scones are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container for a day or two. Serve them with a cup of tea or coffee for a delightful treat!
