Easter Jell-O Pie

Posted on March 4, 2025
An Easter Jell-O Pie is a colorful, fun, and creamy dessert that’s perfect for spring celebrations. It’s light, refreshing, and easy to make, with a beautiful pastel appearance that’s perfect for Easter gatherings. Here’s a simple recipe for you to try!

Easter Jell-O Pie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (or make your own)
  • 1 package (3 oz) Jell-O (pick any flavor you like – pastel colors like lime, strawberry, or lemon work well for Easter)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 (8 oz) container of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Optional: Easter-themed decorations (such as jelly beans, marshmallows, or chocolate eggs)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Jell-O:

    • In a bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
    • Add 1 cup of cold water to the Jell-O mixture and stir. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours until it firms up but is still slightly soft (it should be thicker but not fully set).
  2. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:

    • In a separate bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
    • Fold in the whipped topping (Cool Whip) and blend until fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Combine the Jell-O and Cream Cheese Mixture:

    • Once the Jell-O mixture has slightly set, take it out of the refrigerator.
    • Gently fold the Jell-O into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined and smooth. Be careful not to over-mix; you want the Jell-O to maintain a little bit of texture.
  4. Assemble the Pie:

    • Pour the combined mixture into the pre-made graham cracker crust.
    • Smooth the top with a spatula or spoon to make it even.
  5. Chill the Pie:

    • Refrigerate the pie for 3-4 hours or until fully set and firm.
  6. Decorate:

    • Once the pie is set, you can decorate it with Easter-themed treats like jelly beans, mini chocolate eggs, or colorful sprinkles.
  7. Serve:

    • Slice and serve your beautiful, pastel-colored Easter Jell-O pie! It’s a refreshing treat that’s perfect for Easter celebrations.

Tips:

  • Flavor Combinations: You can mix and match Jell-O flavors to create a multi-layered pie with different colors for a more vibrant look.
  • For a Thicker Pie: You can add a little more cream cheese or whipped topping to make the filling thicker.
  • Make Ahead: This pie is great for preparing a day ahead of time, so it’s ready for your Easter feast without the last-minute prep.

This Easter Jell-O Pie is sure to be a hit at any spring gathering, with its creamy texture, bright colors, and festive vibe! Enjoy!
