fudge

Certainly! Here’s a classic chocolate fudge recipe:Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (about 525g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces/397g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides. This will make it easier to lift the fudge out later.
  2. Melt the Ingredients:
    • In a medium-sized saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
    • Stir continuously until the chocolate and butter are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add Flavorings:
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If you like, add a pinch of salt for flavor balance.
  4. Optional: Add Nuts:
    • If you’re using nuts, fold in the chopped nuts into the fudge mixture.
  5. Transfer to Pan:
    • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top.
  6. Chill:
    • Place the pan in the refrigerator and let the fudge chill for at least 2-3 hours, or until it’s set.
  7. Cut into Pieces:
    • Once the fudge is fully set, use the parchment paper overhang to lift it out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and use a sharp knife to cut it into squares or rectangles.
  8. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Your chocolate fudge is ready to be enjoyed! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Feel free to get creative with this recipe by adding other mix-ins like dried fruits, marshmallows, or different types of nuts. Enjoy your delicious homemade fudge!
