Fudgy brownie treats recipe

Posted on January 28, 2024
Fudgy brownies are a delightful treat for chocolate lovers. Here’s a simple recipe to make delicious fudgy brownies at home:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1/2 cup (60g) chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
    • Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
    • Stir in the vanilla extract until incorporated.
  3. Add the Dry Ingredients:
    • Sift the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder into the wet ingredients.
    • Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Optional Add-Ins:
    • If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or chunks and chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Bake the Brownies:
    • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out into an even layer with a spatula.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Be careful not to overbake, as you want the brownies to be fudgy.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares.
    • Once cooled, slice the brownies into squares and serve. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar for decoration.

Tips:

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them. They will continue to set as they cool.
  • Feel free to customize your brownies by adding your favorite mix-ins, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or even a swirl of peanut butter or caramel sauce.
  • Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for longer storage.

Enjoy these fudgy brownies as a delicious treat for dessert, snacks, or any time you’re craving something chocolaty and indulgent!
