Garlic Butter Chicken

Garlic butter chicken is a delicious and simple dish that’s packed with flavor. Here’s a basic recipe to make garlic butter chicken:Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or white wine (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or use fresh thyme leaves)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for some heat)
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet or pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they’re golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C). Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and cover it to keep it warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium-low, and add the butter to the skillet. Allow it to melt and bubble, then stir in the dried thyme, paprika, and red pepper flakes if you want some heat.
  5. If using, pour in the chicken broth or white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly and thicken.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and spoon some of the garlic butter sauce over the top. Let it simmer for a few minutes to heat the chicken through and allow it to soak up the flavors.
  7. Garnish the chicken with chopped fresh parsley.
  8. Serve the garlic butter chicken hot, and you can squeeze a lemon wedge over the top just before serving for a burst of freshness.

This garlic butter chicken is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion. It’s quick, flavorful, and pairs well with a variety of side dishes, such as rice, pasta, or vegetables. Enjoy!
