Here’s a fast, flavorful, and foolproof recipe for Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp – perfect as an appetizer, over pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the buttery goodness!


🍤 Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp

🧄🧀 Ingredients:

(Serves 4 as a main, 6 as an appetizer)

  • 1 ½ lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail-on optional)

  • 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)

  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1–2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)


🔥 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat to 400°F (200°C).

    • Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.

  2. Prepare Shrimp:

    • In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil (or butter), garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

    • Toss until shrimp are evenly coated.

  3. Add Parmesan:

    • Add Parmesan and toss gently again. It will cling to the shrimp and create a cheesy crust when roasted.

  4. Roast:

    • Spread shrimp in a single layer on the baking sheet.

    • Roast for 8–10 minutes, or until shrimp are pink, firm, and just cooked through.

    • Optionally broil for 1–2 minutes for extra golden tops.

  5. Garnish & Serve:

    • Sprinkle with chopped parsley and squeeze fresh lemon over the top.

    • Serve hot as an appetizer or over pasta, rice, salad, or alongside roasted veggies.


📝 Tips & Variations:

  • Add breadcrumbs: Mix in 2–3 tbsp panko with the Parmesan for a crispy topping.

  • Make it buttery: Use melted garlic butter instead of oil for extra richness.

  • Spicy version: Add a bit of cayenne or extra chili flakes.

  • Quick side idea: Toss with cooked angel hair pasta and extra Parmesan for a 15-minute dinner.
