🍓🍇 Homemade Kool-Aid Fruit Roll-Ups Recipe
Ingredients:
-
2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen fruit (strawberries, mangoes, peaches, etc.)
-
1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid (any flavor)
-
2–4 tbsp honey, agave, or sugar (to taste)
-
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, helps preserve color and flavor)
🥣 Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 170°F (75°C) or the lowest setting your oven allows.
-
Blend the fruit: In a blender or food processor, add fruit, Kool-Aid powder, sweetener, and lemon juice. Blend until completely smooth.
-
Taste and adjust: Add more sweetener if it’s too tart.
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat (Silpat works best).
-
Pour and spread the mixture evenly (about 1/8″ thick). Keep it uniform to ensure even drying.
-
Bake for 4–6 hours, or until the mixture is no longer sticky and can be peeled off easily. It should feel dry but still flexible.
-
Cool completely. Then peel off the parchment, cut into strips, and roll up with wax paper or plastic wrap.
🌀 Storage:
-
Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to 1 week, or refrigerate for up to 1 month.
🌈 Tips & Variations:
-
Mix and match fruits + Kool-Aid flavors for fun combos like:
-
Peach + Pink Lemonade
-
Strawberry + Tropical Punch
-
Mango + Orange
-
-
For extra shine and flexibility, add 1–2 tbsp corn syrup to the blend (optional).
-
Don’t use canned fruit with syrup—it makes the mixture too wet.
