Homemade Kool-Aid Fruit Roll-Ups

Homemade Kool-Aid Fruit Roll-Ups are a fun, fruity, and nostalgic treat you can make with just a few ingredients—no dehydrator needed! They’re perfect for kids, lunchboxes, or a colorful snack that’s way better than store-bought.


🍓🍇 Homemade Kool-Aid Fruit Roll-Ups Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen fruit (strawberries, mangoes, peaches, etc.)

  • 1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid (any flavor)

  • 2–4 tbsp honey, agave, or sugar (to taste)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, helps preserve color and flavor)


🥣 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 170°F (75°C) or the lowest setting your oven allows.

  2. Blend the fruit: In a blender or food processor, add fruit, Kool-Aid powder, sweetener, and lemon juice. Blend until completely smooth.

  3. Taste and adjust: Add more sweetener if it’s too tart.

  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat (Silpat works best).

  5. Pour and spread the mixture evenly (about 1/8″ thick). Keep it uniform to ensure even drying.

  6. Bake for 4–6 hours, or until the mixture is no longer sticky and can be peeled off easily. It should feel dry but still flexible.

  7. Cool completely. Then peel off the parchment, cut into strips, and roll up with wax paper or plastic wrap.


🌀 Storage:

  • Store in an airtight container at room temp for up to 1 week, or refrigerate for up to 1 month.


🌈 Tips & Variations:

  • Mix and match fruits + Kool-Aid flavors for fun combos like:

    • Peach + Pink Lemonade

    • Strawberry + Tropical Punch

    • Mango + Orange

  • For extra shine and flexibility, add 1–2 tbsp corn syrup to the blend (optional).

  • Don’t use canned fruit with syrup—it makes the mixture too wet.
