If you’re looking for a simple, healthy treat with just apples and cocoa—no added sugar—here’s a delicious recipe for Cocoa Dusted Apples! It’s easy, satisfying, and perfect for a snack or a light dessert.

Cocoa Dusted Apples (No Sugar Added)

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples (any variety you like, such as Fuji, Gala, or Granny Smith)
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)
  • A pinch of salt (to enhance the flavors)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for added aroma)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the apples: Wash and core the apples, then slice them into thin wedges or rings, depending on your preference.

  2. Make the cocoa mix: In a small bowl, combine the unsweetened cocoa powder, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Stir until well mixed.

  3. Coat the apples: Place the apple slices in a large bowl. Drizzle them with the vanilla extract (if using), then sprinkle the cocoa mixture over the apples. Toss gently to coat the apple slices evenly.

  4. Serve: Enjoy immediately as a healthy, chocolatey snack! You can also chill them in the fridge for a refreshing treat.

Optional Add-ins:

  • Nuts: Add a handful of chopped almonds, walnuts, or pecans for a crunchy texture.
  • Chia Seeds: For a boost of fiber and omega-3s, sprinkle some chia seeds on top.
  • Coconut: Shredded unsweetened coconut can add a nice tropical touch to this treat.

This Cocoa Dusted Apple recipe is sweetened naturally by the apples, with just a hint of cocoa for a satisfying, guilt-free snack!
