Here’s a recipe for classic and delicious Grilled Oysters with Garlic Butter. These oysters are perfect for a special occasion or a gourmet treat at home.

Grilled Oysters with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, hot sauce (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Preheat the Grill:
    • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  3. Prepare the Oysters:
    • Place the shucked oysters on a grilling tray or a baking sheet lined with foil. If you don’t have a tray, you can make a ring with aluminum foil to hold each oyster upright on the grill.
  4. Top the Oysters:
    • Spoon about a teaspoon of the garlic butter mixture onto each oyster. Make sure each oyster is well-covered with the butter mixture.
  5. Grill the Oysters:
    • Place the tray or sheet with the oysters on the preheated grill. Close the grill lid and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the oysters are plump and the garlic butter is bubbling.
  6. Serve:
    • Carefully remove the oysters from the grill. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
