Peach Pretzel Jello Salad

Posted on November 3, 2023
Peach Pretzel Jello Salad is a classic dessert that combines sweet, creamy, and salty flavors. It’s made with layers of crushed pretzels, a creamy cheesecake-like filling, and peach-flavored gelatin. Here’s a simple recipe to make this delightful dessert:Ingredients:

For the Pretzel Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

For the Cheesecake Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

For the Peach Jello Layer:

  • 2 (3 oz) packages of peach-flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 4 cups sliced canned or fresh peaches

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Mix until the pretzels are coated with the butter and sugar.
  3. Press the pretzel mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Make sure it’s evenly spread.
  4. Bake the pretzel crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  5. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of granulated sugar until it’s smooth and creamy.
  6. Fold in the whipped topping (Cool Whip) into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust, making sure to seal the edges to prevent the Jello from seeping through.
  8. Refrigerate the dish while you prepare the Jello layer.
  9. In a separate bowl, dissolve the two packages of peach-flavored gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  10. Add 2 cups of cold water to the dissolved gelatin and stir to combine.
  11. Gently stir in the sliced peaches into the gelatin mixture.
  12. Pour the peach Jello mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  13. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or until it’s fully set.
  14. Slice into squares or servings and serve chilled.

Peach Pretzel Jello Salad is a delicious and refreshing dessert that combines the saltiness of the pretzel crust, the creaminess of the cheesecake layer, and the fruity sweetness of the peach Jello. It’s a popular potluck and summer dessert that’s sure to be a hit. Enjoy!
