Steak & Cheese Quesadillas

Here’s a quick and tasty recipe for Steak & Cheese Quesadillas — perfect for a satisfying meal or snack!


🥩🧀 Steak & Cheese Quesadillas

Servings: 2–3
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225g) steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)

  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)

  • Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, guacamole, jalapeños


Instructions:

  1. Cook the Steak & Veggies:

    • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until browned but still tender. Remove steak and set aside.

    • In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until softened (about 3–4 minutes).

  2. Assemble Quesadillas:

    • Heat a clean skillet over medium heat.

    • Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over it.

    • Add cooked steak and veggies evenly over the cheese.

    • Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and cover with second tortilla.

  3. Cook Quesadilla:

    • Cook for 3–4 minutes until the bottom tortilla is golden and cheese starts to melt.

    • Carefully flip and cook the other side for another 3–4 minutes until golden and cheese is fully melted.

  4. Serve:

    • Remove from skillet, let cool for a minute, then cut into wedges.

    • Serve with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or your favorite sides.


Tips:

  • For extra flavor, season steak with a little chili powder or smoked paprika before cooking.

  • Use a panini press or grill for easy cooking and perfect grill marks.

  • Swap steak for chicken or shrimp if you like.
