Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Posted on January 25, 2025
A Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake sounds amazing! It’s super easy to make, and it combines the sweetness of strawberries with the rich flavor of cheesecake in a cozy dessert. Here’s a simple recipe for you:

Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 box (about 15 oz) of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling (or fresh strawberries if preferred)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Layer: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and sour cream (if using) until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Ingredients: Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spoon dollops of the cheesecake mixture on top of the strawberries, and gently spread it out with a spatula.
  4. Add the Cake Mix: Sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix evenly over the cheesecake and strawberry layers. Don’t mix; just spread it out as evenly as possible.
  5. Add Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix. It will melt down as the cake bakes, creating a golden, slightly crisp top.
  6. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is cooked through. You might see some bubbling around the edges.
  7. Cool & Serve: Let the dump cake cool slightly before serving. You can top it with whipped cream or extra fresh strawberries for a little extra indulgence!

This dessert is easy, delicious, and perfect for anyone who loves cheesecake and fruit-filled treats. It’s also a great dessert to bring to parties or potlucks because it feeds a crowd and doesn’t require much effort!

What do you think—ready to try it out?
